Food Service Associate

Job Summary
The Food Service Associate is a key employee whose actions have a direct effect on the safety of our customers and the profitability of our stores. He/She is responsible for preparing food that meets company standards for ingredient quantity, safety and consistency. The Food Service Associate reports to the Assistant Food Service Manager or Store Manager, as designated.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, courteous customer service
- Prepare food items per required menus and recipes
- Maintain sanitary conditions in all food preparation areas
- Maintain current Food Handler certification as required by county
- Monitor food storage units to insure safe temperatures
- Receive products from vendors following correct procedures
- Performs all duties with minimal supervision; may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Ability to perform the essential duties
- Ability to work irregular hours such as shifts, holidays and weekends
- Pass the drug test
Compensation Range
$5.85 - $9.75 an hour depending on previous experience
Performance and salary review after 90 days, 6 months, annually
