Assistant Manager
Job Summary
Assist with the day-to-day store
operations, including scheduling, training and supervising
employees. The Assistant Store Manager provides support in
maintaining store profitability, expense control, inventory levels, and
shortage control.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, courteous customer service and resolves customer complaints
- Assists with recruiting, hiring and training positive, enthusiastic employees
- Assists with assigning tasks such as: rings up all sales on cash
register, properly and accurately handling money, checks and other
types of payment received for products sold
- Assists in performing housecleaning duties necessary to maintain
store cleanliness and basic upkeep and/or cleaning of all equipment in
the store
- Assists in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits
- Performs all duties with minimal supervision; may be required to
work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings and perform other
duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Previous management experience preferred
- Ability to work on a computer or acquire the skills necessary to work on a computer
- Ability to work shifts, holidays and weekends
- Pass the drug test
Compensation Range
$6.70 - $11.00 an hour depending on previous experience
