Assistant Manager

Job Summary
Assist with the day-to-day store operations, including scheduling, training and supervising employees.    The Assistant Store Manager provides support in maintaining store profitability, expense control, inventory levels, and shortage control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides prompt, courteous customer service and resolves customer complaints
  • Assists with recruiting, hiring and training positive, enthusiastic employees
  • Assists with assigning tasks such as: rings up all sales on cash register, properly and accurately handling money, checks and other types of payment received for products sold
  • Assists in performing housecleaning duties necessary to maintain store cleanliness and basic upkeep and/or cleaning of all equipment in the store
  • Assists in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits
  • Performs all duties with minimal supervision; may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Ability to work on a computer or acquire the skills necessary to work on a computer
  • Ability to work shifts, holidays and weekends
  • Pass the drug test

Compensation Range
$8.75 - $14.50 an hour depending on previous experience
