Hebbronville Grand Opening - Store 2209

Hebbronville, Texas
The grand opening of our newest Stripes® store, #2209 in Hebbronville, was a true community celebration. SSP was joined by County Judge Molina, Sheriff Alacorn and other county leaders for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which marked the start of a day long celebration.
Twinkie the Kid, Elsie the Cow, and the Coca Cola bear joined the SSP Border to Border team to welcome neighbors and friends to the party. Guests toured the new store, sampling such sweet treats as dulces mexicanos (Mexican candies), pan dulce (sweet bread), creamy Blue Bell ice cream, and Twinkies. We also served up fresh corn tortillas with samples of delicious barbacoa from the Laredo Taco Company. Open Hands Food Bank of Donna sold lunch combos of a hot dog, chips, and soda for 50¢. The proceeds, along with a donation from SSP, will be used to purchase food for the food bank
More than four thousand coupon flyers were mailed to the stores’ neighbors, inviting them to the grand opening. Aside from coupons and special offers, party-goers enjoyed great giveaways and fun games. Coca Cola raffled a bicycle, Pespi raffled a game table, and SSP gave each of twenty-five lucky winners a cash card for $20.
