Circle K celebrates the grand opening of its newest Valley store by giving back to the community it serves. The new store, located at 2798 W. Hwy. 83 and Heritage Blvd. in Rio Grande City, invites its neighbors and friends to join them for the ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration on Friday, July 14 at 10:30 a.m. City leaders and officials, together with the Circle K family, will cut the ribbon to the new store and will present the Muscular Dystrophy Association with a check—the result of Circle K’s six-week fundraising campaign for the organization.
During the grand opening celebration, Circle K will be serving up a delicious deal for a great cause. Lunch combos of a jumbo hot dog, soda, and bag of chips can be purchased for just 50¢! All proceeds will go to the Rio Grande City Chapter of the Lions Club, which is raising funds to send area children to diabetes camp.
There will be lots of tasty treats to sample at Circle K’s grand opening celebration. The Laredo Taco Company will offer up some of its signature items, such as sizzling beef and chicken fajitas, carne guisada and rotisserie chicken. If it’s something sweet you’re craving, Circle K will be sampling delicious Mexican treats like pan dulce, paletas, and dulces, along with fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and creamy Blue Bell ice cream. If you need a cool drink, or a pick-me-up, Red Bull, Coca Cola, and Pepsi will have just what you’re looking for.
There will be special appearances by characters such as Twinkie the Kid, Sailor Jack, Elsie the Cow, Patito Gansito, and the Coca Cola Bear, which will surely delight children of all ages, and adults will enjoy the opportunity to win several prizes, including a bicycle, a game table, and FREE GAS!
