Mission Store: Features Meat Market and Expanded Produce Section
Mission, Texas – Stripes celebrates the Grand
Opening of its “One of a Kind” mini supermarket store in Mission today,
at 2107 West Expressway 83. The official grand opening celebration
begins at 10:30 am with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Local dignitaries,
representatives from the Stripes family and costumed characters will be
on hand to welcome neighbors and friends to the newest Stripes store.
Store #2220, formerly know as “The Tejana”, is located in the heart
of Mission at the corner of Inspiration and Expressway 83. This new
store and Valero gas station is the largest in the Stripes c-store
chain with over 8500 square feet of shopping space. The main attraction
to this expanded version of a regular Stripes Store is the full service
meat market offering all cuts of meats and seasoned chicken. “What sets
us apart from our competitors is our merchandising,” says Javier Garza,
market manager. “We use all fresh cuts of meat and offer superior
customer service. Now our customers can gas up their car and take care
of all their shopping needs.” In addition to the meat counter,
oversized gondolas and an expanded freezer section, offer customers a
much larger produce section, and more frozen items.
The mini super-market also houses the Laredo Taco Company
restaurant, which specialized in fresh, homemade food, using
hand-rolled tortillas for the tacos. As well as the delicious, hot
food, the store carries a large variety of brand names products, cold
drinks and an expanded self-serve coffee center featuring Stripes’ own
Café del la Casa coffee.
To celebrate and welcome its guests to its day-long celebration,
Stripes will serve up great food and great deals. The Laredo Taco
Company will provide samplings of its signature items such as barbacoa,
carne guisada and sizzling fajitas. Stripes will also offer samplings
of Mexican treats, Krispy Kreme donuts and blue Bell ice cream. There
will also be an opportunity to win free gas cards.
Stripes is dedicated to providing quality products and fast service
to their customers and, according to Stripes CEO, Sam L. Susser, “we
are happy to open another location in the Mission area, and even more
thrilled to bring a new concept in convenience store shopping to our
customers. Our first “mini-supermarket” in the Valley does just that,
offering our customers more options and more convenience.”
The new store will provide the same convenience and friendly service
customers have become accustomed to when visiting any Stripes location.
